Visual2.Com was created based on an idea of our main photographer Andrew Tench. He felt due to the high demand for people always wanting to know what goes on behind the scenes of motion picture productions or on photo shoots. Primarily those that involve people. "People want to see people being creative," Andrew says.

As a result of the high demand for people wanting to come along on shoots he felt why not show them how they be of assistance. Many loved it so much they went on to register at various Art colleges and some even make their living doing some aspects of what they experienced on while working with Andrew. As a result of this the workshops where formed. "It is very difficult to try and get students on an actual production set, so I decided to create our own sets indoors or on actual locations" Andrew claims. "With setting of lights, booking locations, arranging crew & talent based on concept to be shot, gave people a shrunken down version of what they might expect on a production with a larger budget."

Andrew has put on hundreds of workshop shoots in all different climates and conditions. He claims "You have to love this kind of photography, because you are not always going to make lots of money at it and the equipment is very expensive." While "Stills Photographer on Set" may pay well, it is difficult to be on set year round. The winter season slows down productions a fair bit, not to mention 12 - 16 hour days can take its toll.
